Description
The True Voice Media podcast is hosted by Jeff Gibbard and is for anyone that yearns to understand the world of Social Business that is sitting right in front of us.
The show started with one segment called Conversations, with guests that range from internet, technology, and social media industry professionals to anyone, regardless of industry, who feels the impact of social media on their career or industry. We've since expanded the show to include social media strategies, tactics, frameworks, and answers to frequently asked questions. We simplify complex topics into practical, usable action steps.
If you are interested in social business strategy and design, social media and content marketing, and issues relating to the technology, culture and strategies of Social Media, then this show should be on your list.
Our hope is to inspire you to think bigger than you ever have before about the way in which Social Media impacts your world. If you're tired of the same old interviews, the same old tips, and the same old tired social media shtick, check out our podcast for an honest and practical look at the world of today and tomorrow.

What happened to the True Voice Media Podcast?
You may have been wondering where we’ve been. And if you follow us on social media, then you probably know where this is going.
We promise we haven’t abandoned you, TVM Podcast listeners. In fact, we’ve been working on something really awesome that we know you’re going to love.
Some backstory:
After making some amazing new connections through the True Voice Media Podcast, our show was asked to be a Featured podcast on the C-Suite Radio.
We’re VERY excited to join C-Suite Network – so excited that we decided to rebrand our podcast.
For us joining C-Suite is a chance to shed some of the constraints of this show, which is not to say that we haven’t enjoyed making it, but now, the chains are off. We’re asking the questions we want to know the answers to in our new podcast: Shareable. This show is going to allow us to deeply explore how people and technology impact our lives through interviews, deep dives, and lots of incredible conversations with all-star guests. We’re still going to cover a lot of the same material and have guests in the same realms, but we have more wiggle room now.
Is the True Voice Media Podcast Done Forever?
Nope! We’re planning to introduce some new segments, and continuing to bring to you episodes of The Classroom and In The Spotlight. But now, you can find our interviews and Now You Do Me episodes over on Shareable.
So go on, give it a listen.
If you want to subscribe, rate, or leave a review, go right ahead. We’re not stopping you.

That’s right. We’re bringing you a little end-of-the-week education in The Classroom.
Today, Jeff’s talking about the actual impact social media has on SEO.
Here at True Voice Media, we get a lot questions about social media and whether it improves SEO ranking. And Jeff’s here to say that we might be having two separate conversations.
On the one hand, your social media footprint definitely impacts your SEO. The more high ranking platforms you’re on, the more likely that you’re going to show up. But rather than just being everywhere, it might more important to just be on particular sites that index high on Google – like YouTube and SlideShare.
Hear all about this and more as Jeff breaks it down for you old school on this episode of The Classroom.

The post How does social media actually affect SEO? appeared first on True Voice Media
We’re starting this week off with a new episode of our favorite educational segment of The True Voice Media Podcast: The Classroom. This is where our host Jeff Gibbard gives us a short and super sweet lesson on any particular topic.
Today, he’s going to dive deeper into the mystical and misunderstood term: ROI.
In the social media biz, clients toss this word around a lot. They’re often asking questions about what our work will do to bring them ALL the bang for their buck.
So if you want to learn what exactly ROI is, how to calculate it, and when you should be using it to measure your initiative’s success, then this episode is a must listen.
Grab those ear buds, a pen, and some paper. You’ll need them once you’ve entered The Classroom.

It’s two weeks into 2017, and The True Voice Media Podcast is back to bringing you full episodes! Today, we’re introducing a new segment called In the Spotlight, where we’ll talk to one of our clients about the awesome things that they’re doing and what we’re doing together.
The phrase, “New Year, New Me,” could not be more fitting to describe the client we’re talking with today, only we think they would spell it “New Year, ‘NU’ Me.”
In this episode, we’re talking with Alvaro Vaselli, Founder & CEO of Nuvanna: an online mattress retail company. See what we did there?
Only six months ago, Alvaro came to us looking for a social media marketing agency to help spread Nuvanna’s message about bringing balance to your life through a better night’s sleep. We are so excited to help Alvaro and his team of experts launch this company because we truly believe in their mission, and we’re looking forward to learning how to find more balance in our own lives.
As the leader of Nuvanna, Alvaro brings a unique set of skills to the online mattress industry. Not only does he bring his specific expertise in mattress engineering, but also he brings his personal experience of learning to live a more balanced life.
A few years ago, Alvaro recognized an imbalance in his priorities: He was spending too much time working and not enough time on the things that mattered to him. After his success in realigning his priorities, Alvaro wanted to help others learn how to bring balance to their lives – starting with a better night’s sleep.
Over the next 30 minutes, you’ll hear about Alvaro’s journey to balance, the three moments where your mattress is the cornerstone of your health, why what’s in your mattress matters, and why this mattress company’s mission makes them different from other retailers.
If you’re like us and you’re looking to bring more balance to your life, we definitely recommend listening to this one!

Welcome to 2017 and a brand new mini-segment of the True Voice Media Podcast: The Classroom. As implied, in The Classroom, our host, Jeff Gibbard, takes us to school on one particular short topic.
Today, Jeff’s talking about how to better understand your Facebook Ad results.
Recently, a client asked Jeff how to tell the difference between terms like reach, impressions, engagements, and so on.
So if you’re looking for a quick explanation to help you keep these key terms straight, take a listen and join us in The Classroom.

This week’s extraordinary superhuman is Dean DeLisle.
From the quaint little town of Chicago, Dean DeLisle calls himself the Founder and CEO of Forward Progress…but I just call him Dean.
He has a wealth of digital marketing experience, logging more than 13 years in this one business alone. But Dean didn’t start here and that’s the point…he’s always making Forward Progress
Today, Dean is here to talk to us about how building a strong team of hardworking and trustworthy people helped him get to where he wanted to go. And now, Dean has made it his personal mission to show everyone how to do the same for themselves through his system: Social Jack.
In this episode you’ll hear how Dean discovered, early in his childhood, that he is an entrepreneur. We talk about “social teaming,” a concept you’ll need to know about in order to build your ideal team.
Bottom line, don’t miss this episode. Your team depends on it.
SPECIAL BONUS MATERIAL: there will be plenty of sports metaphors.

This week on the show, we’re talking to THE Ryan Stewart.
Coming to us from Miami, Florida, Ryan Stewart is the founder of WEBRIS, a digital marketing agency, owner of an e-commerce store that sells shoelaces called Laces Out, and creator of some damn good SEO training courses.
Initially skeeved out by the online course market, Ryan made his way to trainings by deciding that he needed to find the best way to train his own staff. After realizing how well his trainings actually worked, he decided to roll out his product to the public.
In this episode, you’ll hear how Ryan built his trainings, chose a price, and marketed to his lists. Ryan breaks down his process, step by step, so if you’re gearing up to build an online course don’t skip this one!

Jon Steiert was the first employee of True Voice Media.
Jon came to True Voice Media at the beginning of his career in Social Media. It was important to me that as an employee of True Voice Media, Jon understood the proper way to create social media strategy. It was important to me that he had depth. It was important to me that he learned “the right way to do it.”
Jon was an amazing contributor while he was here.
He worked on strategy. He conducted research. He interfaced directly with clients.
He started, and hosted, our original podcast: Social Echoes. Look at the guest list, it’s epic! Jon really got the who’s who of Social.
When Jon left True Voice Media for Pet360 it was rough for me, but it was exciting to watch him flourish at Pet360.
Jon has been very successful, and I like to think a lot of that is a testament to the work we did together and the theories and frameworks he learned while he was here. When I first got into this industry, there were certain voices that resonated with me, people who just made sense. People like Brian Solis, Jerimiah Owyang, Avinash Kaushik, Mitch Joel, and many more…
Today, we talk about why it’s so important “who gets to you first.”
